Barbara Gomez, PhD
Cofounder & CEO
Dr. Gomez is a seasoned researcher and consultant specializing in social and economic issues affecting underrepresented communities. Her work has driven policy changes and has been featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, BBC, and Forbes. Her research has also been referenced in the U.S. Senate, congressional hearings and court cases, underscoring the impact of her work on national and local levels. At Comprehend.us, Dr. Gomez leads innovative research projects that transform data into actionable insights, empowering organizations to make informed decisions that foster positive social impact. In the past, Dr. Gomez worked as a professor of Public Policy and Social Equity at the University of Nebraska, directed the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative at Stanford University, and served as researcher for multiple organizations, including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of New Mexico, the Migration Policy Institute, and the Immigrant Legal Resource Center.
